I had this art piece created as a back matter image for my Calculating Stars comic adaptation and I love the way it turned out. It has the feel of a golden age pulp science fiction cover with some nice modern touches. Eagle-eyed fans of the books may notice an Easter Egg in the background that connects to the Lady Astronaut of Mars novelette. I especially love how Elma and Nathaniel turned out and how the nuances of the design and layout speaks to their relationship.
